Chris Taylor, MD Harrison Arkansas

Liposuction & Tummy Tuck

Dr. Taylor may recommend liposuction when diet and exercise fail to reduce localized deposits of fat in the

  • abdomen
  • hips
  • thighs
  • upper arms
  • chin
  • breasts
  • ankles
  • inner side of the knee

Liposuction procedures may be performed in an outpatient setting. Dr. Taylor may use local anesthetic supplemented by intravenous sedation.

If the skin covering abdominal fat deposits has stretched excessively or is too after liposuction, Dr. Taylor may recommend a lipectomy (frequently called a “tummy tuck”), a procedure that recontours the abdomen.

After pregnancy, even exercise may not be sufficient to restore muscle tone and return the abdomen to its normal contours. A “tummy tuck” may also make stretch marks less conspicuous.
